While we can all admire those who rescue abandoned and abused mixed breed dogs, on this National Purebred Dog Day we want to say that there are good reasons to buy a purebred puppy, and respected, responsible breeders are proud to devote their time, energy, and their very lives to produce happy, healthy  beautiful purebred dogs.
The advantages of a purebred dog:

PRIDE
The joy of knowing  your dog has a distinct history and legacy.

PEDIGREE
Your puppy has a family tree filled with dogs that have had all the standard health screenings.  Statistics show that purebred dogs are healthier
 and live longer than non-purebreds.
PREDICTABILITY
Knowing a dog's characteristics in advance because of its breed.
PURPOSE
Serving a specialized role defined by instinct, form, and function.  A very high percentage of Shelties still herd sheep.
PRESERVATION
Choosing to safeguard a breed to ensure its existence for future generations

We currently have a litter of 6 sables going on 4 weeks old.  We should have pictures up in a day or two.  All 6 have beautiful color and markings.  The 2 girls may be spoken for but there will be at least 3 boys to choose from.  All puppies leave here with health guarantee, AKC papers and pedigree, and a starter bag with brush, collar, puppy training pads, toys and treats, nail clippers, as well as their first vaccination and worming.
